Amazon’s Post-Order Price Guarantee

Friday, July 11th, 2008

Just last week I bought a new E8400 processor from Amazon. I was going to buy it from Newegg, but I heard that Amazon has a 30-day price guarantee: if the price falls within 30 days of shipment, they’ll refund you the difference. I didn’t think I’d use it but it was nice to have.

Comment Wisdom

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Apparently Paris Hilton has a sex tape, and I’m inadequate in bed. These are just some of the things I learned from my 5400 spam comments on this blog. Also, many people are “simply mad about this forum!” and think I have “good stuff, very nicely done”. That’s when they’re not writing gibberish or misspelling […]

BSG Returns Friday

Monday, March 31st, 2008

In case you’ve missed all the commercials, the fourth and final season of Battlestar Galactica starts this Friday at 9:00 p.m. (Central). Additionally SciFi is running episodes all week to catch you up if you’re behind, and you can also watch full episodes at scifi.com.
Obviously this is a must-watch.

Thanks!

Happy Day of the Ninja

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

Show Off Your Bling

Monday, September 11th, 2006

Blingo is a search engine that gets the same results as Google, but your first ten searches of the day can win you a prize. Prizes range from movie tickets to iPods. I joined back in July, and today I received an email with the following:
Matthew,
Your friend Jen just won a prize by searching on […]

Facebook, Now With Fewer Stalker Tools

Friday, September 8th, 2006

When I logged into Facebook the other day I immediately noticed massive changes to the interface. The most notable is the Mini-Feed, which allows other users to see lots of your actions, including whose “Wall” you write on, what friends you add, what things you change on your profile, and what comments you leave on […]
