Hello Joe

Well today was my first performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Josephine. Only 19 to go! It went pretty well except I tripped while running up the stairs after being on stage for all of 4.3 seconds. I didn’t fall, but still. And I didn’t have time to put on my jacket for Potiphar. Sadly that was the only “costume malfunction” of the night.

Anyway, go see it if you want. I’m Potiphar and Zebulon (one of Joseph’s brothers.) Turns out that Potiphar is billed fifth and Missy even says my name during curtain call. Woo. Tickets are $20 or $12 for students. It’s a fun show.

Hey Matthew! I knew your name sounded familiar when I looked at the playbill. My daughter’s in Joseph too – she’s Camie Gillespie, in the children’s chorus, the blonde with the glasses. You recently put her on the Calliope website too, as part of a PrimaDonna Productions job; she signed with Calliope earlier this fall.

Yeah, when I saw her at rehearsal it bothered me for a few days because I knew her face… luckily I figured out who she was before I went crazy (or just asked her).
